Mathias obtained his Master's degree in Law with a specialisation in tax law from Ghent University in 2022. In addition, he obtained a postgraduate degree in Asset and Succession Planning from VIVES Business School in Bruges in 2024.
After graduating, he started his career at a medium-sized law firm specialising in corporate and tax law. There, Mathias developed expertise in tax law in the broadest sense (corporate tax, personal income tax, VAT, indirect taxes, international taxation, tax procedure and wealth planning).
Since 2025, he has been working as a lawyer at Tiberghien, where he focuses primarily on high net worth individuals and family shareholders of family businesses in their wealth and succession planning, both within Belgium and across borders.
