Bruno Peeters is emeritus full professor of Tax Law and former dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Antwerp. He studied law (Lic. Iuris, 1982) and philosophy (Bac. Wijsbegeerte, 1979) at the University of Antwerp, where he also obtained his doctorate (1988) and taught various tax law courses until 2025. He was the initiator of the Master Tax Law and chairman of the multidisciplinary research centre Antwerp Tax Academy. He was a member of the Antwerp Bar until 2026 and assessor at the Legislation Section of the Council of State.


Bruno Peeters joined the firm in 2004. His practice covered all Belgian taxes relevant to estate planning and corporate transactions with a particular focus on public companies.

 
He is a member and former board member of the European Association of Tax Law Professors, a member of the International Fiscal Association, a former editorial board member of EC‑Tax Review and, since 2021, editor‑in‑chief of the Algemeen Fiscaal Tijdschrift.


He is also (co-)founder and (co-)editor of the Tax Library and of the series Foundations of Tax Law published by Larcier-Intersentia.


Bruno Peeters is also a regular speaker at conferences and seminars and author of various books and articles on tax issues and economic public law.
