Markus Fort

Markus Fort works as tax lawyer for corporations and partnerships as well as private individuals, associations and governmental organizations. He joined Tiberghien in 2016 and is member of the Brussels Bar.

During his career, Markus developed a keen interest in international and European tax law. In practice, he often assists his clients in structuring and implementing cross-border projects, particularly in a Belgian-German context (e.g. market entry in Belgium (M&A, PE…), Belgian tax incentives (expat system, investment deduction…), Pillar 2). He furthermore defends them before the Belgian tax authorities and courts. As his mother tongue is German, he is able to advise German-speaking clients entirely in German. He is an important part of the German Desk and the contact person for many of Tiberghien's clients.

Markus is the author of various publications on international tax law, and a highly valued contributor of Tiberghien's tax manual.
