What qualifications do you need to work at Tiberghien?

Lawyers

Our vacancies always clearly state the qualifications required and we are very strict in this respect.

Open applications will only be considered if the applicant has a Master’s degree in Law and an Advanced Master’s degree in Taxation law and/or Notary law.

A preparatory education programme with quite a lot of maths and economics is recommended. Moreover, we are particularly interested in anybody who has (wholly or partially) followed his or her studies in one of the other Belgian national languages.

What will my first few days be like?

Apprentice lawyers

You will begin at Tiberghien with a starter’s week in our office in Brussels: this is a tailored induction programme for new apprentice lawyers, supervised by our own staff.

It is useful for finding your way around the office and getting to know some of the tools we work with. It is also a pleasant way to get started by following some basic training.

After this week, your mentor takes over responsibility for your training and guidance and you will be assigned your first client files.

On your first day at Tiberghien, your colleagues from HR will show you around the office where you will be working. The purpose of this welcome day is to get you calmly acquainted with your new colleagues, the office, and the tools we work with.

At the end of the day, your mentor takes over and you can get started.

What is the salary package?

Since we commission a market study every two years, we can easily compare our fees with market norms.

Tiberghien respects a transparent compensation system, which takes into account your performance and effort.

The salary package can be favourably compared with market norms and is reviewed every two years on the basis of a market study.
