First and foremost, the firm wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Koen Van Duyse for his dedicated commitment as former managing partner, and to Alain Van Geel for his many years of valuable contribution to the firm’s governance. Thanks to their strong leadership over the past fifteen years, the firm has grown into the largest tax practice within the Belgian legal profession. Koen Van Duyse and Alain Van Geel will henceforth once again fully devote themselves to the HR and pension tax practice, and the estate planning practice, respectively.
The new Board of Directors combines experience with fresh perspectives and is composed of five members:
- Koen Morbée – Managing Partner
- Nick Boonen
- Emilie Van Goidsenhoven
- Stijn Vastmans
- Vincent Vercauteren
With this new leadership team, Tiberghien continues to strengthen its pioneering role in Belgian tax law.
In a statement, Koen Morbée says: “Receiving the trust of your partners to continue building the future of our firm is of course an honour. Under the leadership of Koen Van Duyse and Alain Van Geel, the firm has grown into a true platform for talent development. The organic growth of the past 15 years into an organisation of more than 200 people demonstrates this and makes us unique in the Belgian tax landscape. Contributing to a predictable legal environment for businesses, families, and society is not only our heritage but also our vision. With integrity as our core value, we will continue to invest in broad legal knowledge, specialised expertise and an international outlook, enabling us to guide clients thoughtfully and purposefully in a constantly evolving tax and estate law environment. This vision remains unchanged, and with the new board we will continue to uphold it with full conviction.”
