(Senior) Valuation Analyst

Who we are

Tiberghien Economics was established in 2015 as a privileged partnership with the highly regarded law firm Tiberghien. Today, Tiberghien Economics works as an integrated team with tax lawyers of Tiberghien, serving clients in a broad spectrum of industries and activities.

We are a boutique consulting firm offering full scope transfer pricing and valuation services to our clients. Closely linked to these main practice areas, our services offerings also include innovation, business modelling and legal economics.

We are a team of experienced, motivated and down to earth people that believe in modern management styles. We dare to think differently and have a mindset that dares to challenge existing practices, in terms of what we do, but also how we do it. We truly believe that people are our key assets and have the ambition to create an environment where people can become true inspirers and game changers. Our team mainly operates from our head office in Antwerp. We also work from our
Brussels office and are occasionally present in our Gent and Hasselt offices.

Tiberghien Economics currently is a team of 6 people working closely together with Tiberghien which employs more than 120 tax lawyers, covering a full spectrum of tax services. Our partnership with Tiberghien, that combines economics with tax law, is unmatched in Belgium.

We work for a broad spectrum of clients ranging from large multinational companies to SME as well as individuals, often with a strong footprint in Belgium or Luxemburg.

In order to assure an international coverage to our clients, we operate within a broad international network of experts, named ‘WTS Global’. Further to serving clients via this network, knowledge and resources can be shared throughout this network.

What we do

Transfer Pricing: Transfer pricing is a subject where tax law meets economic reality and business behavior. By understanding how companies work, transfer pricing analyses are performed in line with applicable guidance of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, while considering relevant local and international tax law (such as double tax treaties). Transfer pricing is (mainly) applicable in an international context, where transfer pricing advisors have to understand how multinational companies operate in order to provide the best advise. We provide a full scope of transfer pricing services, including tangible assets, intangible assets, services and digital within the transfer pricing full life cycle, i.e., assessing, designing, implementing, documenting and sustaining of transfer pricing aspects. We have a focus/specialty on complex transfer pricing aspects such as business restructurings and financial transactions and transfer pricing audits/litigation.

Valuation: We perform a broad spectrum of assets and business valuations, such as tax and transfer pricing valuations, buy/sell valuation in deals/transactions, for financial reporting purposes, litigation and economic damages. We can apply multiple valuation methods that are most suitable for the situation at hand and have access to tools to support such analyses. Furthermore, we can assist our clients in providing support during the buy/sell process. We also support our clients in preparation of financial forecasts that can be used in valuations. We have vast experience in assisting the private equity sector on tax related valuations.

Closely linked to these practice areas are:

Innovation: We support clients developing a strategy in view of IP regimes such as the Belgian Innovation Income Deduction and assist companies in the application of such regimes. When assisting companies on innovation matters, interesting technologies, patents, etc. are discussed (on a confidential basis), and advise is formulated that creates benefits for companies while creating solutions to encourage further innovation.

Legal economics: Through our experience, we are able to provide meaningful and valuable economics insights to all kinds of tax matters (broader than only corporate taxation), such as business rationale, business cases, economics  argumentation in procedure or litigation.

To further expand our team, we are looking for a:
