Tiberghien expands its customs and excise team

In order to service an increasing demand of specific expertise in the field of customs and excise duties, Tiberghien reinforces its Indirect Taxes practice group. With almost 20 years of experience in dealing with customs, excise duties and related VAT aspects, Jurgen Gevers joined the Tiberghien Indirect Taxes team.

Jurgen has been advising national and multinational companies on customs and excise procedures, assisted them during audits, criminal investigations and negotiations on amicable settlements. He handles disputes with the customs and excise authorities and assists clients in administrative proceedings and proceedings before the tax and criminal courts, the Belgian Constitutional Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union.

The expertise of Jurgen will add to the further development of a fully fledged support to businesses on all customs, excise and (international) VAT related matters.

Together with our colleagues in Luxembourg and Amsterdam (Atlas Tax Lawyers), Tiberghien can offer integrated advice on a Benelux level, and as a member of the WTS Global network, covering more than 100 countries worldwide, also on a global scale.
